SHILLONG, Sep 17: A total of 12 visually impaired beneficiaries received smartphones during a programme at Jingkieng Indoor Stadium, Nongthymmai, on Saturday.
According to a statement, the distribution was carried out by the Blind Lead Trust in collaboration with Vision Aid with an objective to help the visually impaired students who come from an underprivileged background and cannot afford smartphones for studies.
“Besides the delivery of the devices, the Blind Lead Trust in collaboration with Vision Aid has the second objective to provide a training course to the beneficiaries on how to make use of the devices in a proper way in relation to various existing technologies.
