Pune: Two motorcycle-borne men late on Friday night snatched two smartphones worth Rs25,000 in Wakad.
A 51-year-old engineer, who works for a private company in Mumbai, was trying to book an autorickshaw via his smartphone when the duo stopped near him at Bhumkar Chowk around 11.15pm. The pillion rider snatched his smartphone worth Rs 15,000, and the duo rode towards Dange Chowk. The engineer filed a complaint with the Wakad police on Saturday.
Within 15 minutes, the duo snatched another smartphone worth Rs10,000 at Dange Chowk and fled.
