Renders of various iQOO 10 models have surfaced online, a gaming offshoot of Vivo. Rumoured to debut next month, the iQOO 10 and iQOO 10 Pro will be joined by a BMW version. Reportedly, iQOO will bring the Dimensity 9000+ and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 to the iQOO 10 series, with the iQOO 10 Pro netting Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset.
Digital Chat Station and @UniverseIce have revealed initial details about the iQOO 10 series, rumoured to feature up to 200 W fast charging. For reference, Xiaomi’s 125 W charging technology can fully recharge a 4,400 mAh battery in under 20 minutes. In comparison, iQOO claims that its 120 W FlashCharge technology recharges a battery to 50% in 8 minutes, it remains to be seen how 200 W will impact recharging times, though.
Based on the images provided by the two leakers, the iQOO 10 series will build the design of its predecessors, such as the iQOO 9 Pro. Unusually, the BMW version will have horizontal stripes, breaking from the tradition of vertical stripes on other BMW M-branded products. However, iQOO is expected to include a gimbal camera stabilisation this time around, the likes of which Vivo has already used in some of its X series smartphones.
Separately, all iQOO 10 models are tipped to rely on the Dimensity 9000+, MediaTek’s latest flagship chipset. By contrast, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 is anticipated for the iQOO 10 Pro, a chipset that will also appear in Motorola, Samsung and Xiaomi flagship smartphones before the year is out.
Reportedly, at least the iQOO 10 Pro will offer a 50 MP primary camera, a 2K LTPO display and 65 W wireless charging. A release date and pricing remain unknown at this stage, although the iQOO 9 series only launched at the start of the year. Typically, iQOO releases new flagship smartphone generations every six months, so we may only be a few weeks away from the arrival of the iQOO 10 and iQOO 10 Pro.
